Karen Plesh
Chief Executive Officer
Karen Plesh serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Haven Residential, where she leads the executive team and department heads through the implementation and execution of strategic business plans to improve performance while maintaining operational excellence. Karen has over 25 years of property management experience and in her most recent role as COO of Haven Residential, Karen implanted innovative strategies, establishing competitively attractive value propositions, and enhancing customer loyalty while maximizing efficiencies and productivity. Karen holds a B.S. degree in Marketing and Management from Siena College in Upstate, NY, and earned a master's degree in Organizational Leadership at Cabrini College in Radnor, PA. She holds a CPM designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management and served as a board member and President for the Eastern Chapter of the Pennsylvania Apartment Association.
Chris Radliff
Chief Operating Officer
Chris Radliff is Chief Operating Officer of Haven Residential. Prior to joining Haven, Chris served as Vice President of Operations at Hunt Military Companies, responsible for overseeing 11,700 units, in 20 locations across 12 states, corporate and executive level oversight of the portfolio, achieving financial and operational goals, organizing, planning, and developing company-wide initiatives and programs. Chris earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Missouri, with a major in accounting. And in July of 2020, he obtained a certification as a Certified Property Manager from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Mr. Radliff holds the core belief that empowered, results-oriented and engaged teams increase the customer experience on all levels, both inside and outside the organization.
Sherri Toohey-Taylor
Chief People Officer
Sherri Toohey-Taylor services as the Chief People Officer for Haven Residential, where she leads the company’s HR strategy. Sherri has over 30 years’ experience in human resources with expertise in Employment Law, Conflict Management, Mediation, Employee & Labor Relations, Contract Negotiations, Performance Management, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Compliance, Mergers and Acquisitions, Change Management and Learning. Sherri has served as an executive member of the leadership team at the US Postal Service, in Washington DC, and Mortenson Dental Partners. She has also served as an HR leader at Louisville Metro Government and UPS. Sherri holds a BSBA in Finance from the University of Louisville, an MBA from Indiana University as well as her SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications. She was awarded “20 People to Know in HR” presented by Louisville Business First and serves as an Executive Board Member for the Center for Women and Families, in Louisville KY.
Bobby Orozco
Chief Financial Officer
Bobby serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Haven Residential. Bobby joined us with over 15 years of experience in financial management, Bobby has held diverse roles in the field, ranging from Senior Vice President of Finance to Senior Accountant. His extensive financial expertise, coupled with his profound understanding of the real estate sector, positions him as a key driver behind the financial strategies powering Haven's growth and profitability. Bobby obtained his B.A. in Accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Devan Cronin
Executive Vice President, Technology
Devan Cronin serves as the Executive Vice President of Technology for Haven Residential, where she leads property technology solution strategy as well as corporate technology and system initiatives. Devan has over 11 years of property management experience in numerous sectors including multi-family, privatized military, and student housing. Her previous roles include on-site and regional management, helping bridge the gap between operational needs and functional technology solutions. She has served as an outside consultant for multiple organizations to help identify technology gaps, areas of opportunity, and improvements to their operational efficiencies. Her area of expertise ranges from property management software and technology integrations to system administration, security and protocol. Devan holds a B.A. from the University of Tennessee.
Jim Curtis
Executive Vice President, Construction & Facilities
Jim Curtis is the Executive Vice President of Construction & Facilities for Haven Residential. Mr. Curtis manages all construction projects, maintenance performance, and oversees the due diligence process, national accounts for material vendors, the construction team, and contractors. Jim joined Haven Residential from a Privatized Military housing provider where he was the Vice President of Maintenance, Facilities, and Safety Programs. Prior to his most recent role, Mr. Curtis served in the US Marine Corps for 27 years as a Combat Engineer, ending his military career as the Base Facilities Chief where he was responsible for the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure aboard the base. Curtis brings a proven record of accomplishment in developing teams that perform with integrity, compassion, collaboration, and professionalism that yield high performance and satisfaction results.
Seth Kaplan
Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications
Seth Kaplan is the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications. He has over a decade of multifamily marketing experience, most recently overseeing the national marketing team for Cushman & Wakefield’s multifamily division. Seth started his multifamily career as Marketing Coordinator at Concord Property Management in 2012. He joined Pinnacle Property Management in 2017 as a Regional Marketing Manager for the Southeast, where he helped support a portfolio of over 200 properties and received multiple promotions during his tenure. After Pinnacle was acquired by Cushman and Wakefield in 2020, Seth continued his upward trajectory and, as Regional Marketing Director, oversaw marketing and leadership responsibilities for roughly 400 properties. In early 2022, Seth was again promoted to Managing Director of the National Marketing team at Cushman and Wakefield, leading a team of 25+ multifamily marketers and roughly 900 properties across the United States.
Seth holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in entertainment business.
Erica Gatewood
Senior Vice President, East
Erica serves as the Senior Vice President and oversees all assets in the East portfolio, including Kansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Ohio, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. Erica has 20 years of experience and has held previous Regional Vice President positions with Elmington Property Management and Brookside Properties. She has managed new construction, renovations, repositioned and troubled assets.
April Hardesty
Senior Vice President, West
April joined Haven Residential as an Area Vice President in 2022, responsible for overseeing the California portfolio ranging from Northern California to San Diego. Recently April was promoted to Senior Vice President, West and lead the operations team in California, Texas, Colorado, Arizona. April has 15 years of property management experience. She gained her experience working in various roles including a District Manager, Senior Regional Manager, Area Vice President and Property Management Associate Director for various real estate companies. April has extensive experience working in every aspect of operations. April attended the University of California Davis.
Denise Maldonado
Vice President, Learning & Development
Denise Maldonado is the Vice President of Learning & Development for Haven Residential. Denise works to improve the organization's associates' knowledge, skills, and productivity. While monitoring training compliance and company policies and procedures related to property management, Ms. Maldonado ensures the L&D Department supports all associates in understanding company policy and procedure guidelines to establish consistency across the division’s housing portfolio. She assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions. With over 33 years of experience in property management, including military housing, multi-family housing, and affordable housing properties, Ms. Maldonado brings a wealth of knowledge to Haven Residential, such as compliance, customer service, centralization of administration, and much more. She has held several positions, including Operations Support Director, Operations Manager, Assistant General Manager and Regional Property Manager. Denise is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and holds her IREM Certified Property Manager (CPM®) and Accredited Residential Manager (ARM®) certifications. She is also a member of the National Apartment Association (NAA) and the Association for Talent Development (ATD). Denise attended Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky, with an emphasis on Business Management.
Bobbi Jo Myrsiades
Executive Assistant
Bobbi Jo serves as the Executive Assistant, where she is an integral part of building our brand, culture, and elevating Haven Residential to new levels by assisting the Operational team. Prior to joining the firm, Bobbi Jo developed a career within multiple facets of real estate beginning with title searching, sales, commercial real estate, residential property management, and government operations. She was primarily responsible for providing operational support to the A-Level Senior Executive team members, ensuring effective and efficient daily operations. Managing, training, motivating, and supervising teams, she oversaw offices in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia as Operations Manager based in Philadelphia, PA. Bobbi Jo has successfully developed and executed specialty programs for property management professionals and holds an FAA remote (drone) pilot certification and is a certified instructor for Basic Life Support through American Red Cross.
